Applying and Leading Assessment in Student Affairs
Registration is now open!
The course is a partnership with the Student Affairs Assessment Leaders (SAAL), Colorado State University (CSU) Online, and the CSU Student Affairs in Higher Education master's program. The curriculum provides self-paced materials that address several learning outcomes. This course aims to provide participants the opportunity to:
- Review concepts that contribute to sound assessment practice and a sustainable culture of evidence.
- Explore and engage in the development of foundational assessment components including planning, articulating goals and outcomes, and providing feedback.
- Identify and practice strategies for guiding assessment efforts across multiple functional areas and building assessment capacity among teams.
- Discover ways to translate data to a story of student success and a plan for action.
The eight-week course opens on April 17, 2017, and closes on June 12, 2017. Each content module will be released one week at a time, but the course is self-paced, so participants may access as many of the open modules as they wish for as long as the content is available in Canvas. Participants may join the class at any time while it is open. The later one joins, though, the less one may interact with classmates and instructors. Still, signing up late is better than signing up never! Enrollment closes on June 2, 2017 (ten days before the course closes), so sign up before then.
