Dr. Jane Marie Souza , Associate Provost for Academic Administration, University of Rochester
Jane Ma rie Souza, PhD serves as the Associate Provost for Academic Administration and Accreditation Liaison Officer at the University of Rochester. Dr. Souza has served on accreditation teams for multiple agencies including New Engl and Commission on Higher Education, Middle States Commission on Higher Educ ation, Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education, and Council on Podiatr ic Medical Education, where she was a member of the Council 2016-2019. Dr. Souza, the 2019-2020 president of the Association for the Assessment of Le arning in Higher Education, has served as an assessment consultant for ins titutions across the country, offering workshops on the use of technology i n the classroom, mapping curricular outcomes, and meeting accreditation sta ndards through effective assessment. She has presented at conferences incl uding the Association for Institutional Research, Middle States Commission on Higher Education, Association for the Assessment of Learning in Higher E ducation (keynote), Drexel Assessment Conference (keynote), Assessment Inst itute in Indianapolis (section keynote), Texas A&M, and Association for Medical Education in Europe.
Dr. Tara Rose, Director o f Assessment, Louisiana State University
Dr. Tara Rose is the Director of A ssessment at Louisiana State University. Working collaboratively with facul ty, staff, and administrators, she leads academic quality efforts at the co urse, program, and university levels that reflect current trends and best p ractices in higher education. Tara has over twenty years’ experience in ass essment and outcomes analyses. Prior to LSU, her background includes worki ng at the Kentucky Legislative Research Commission, University of Kentucky, Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education, and spent ten years as an adj unct faculty and facilitator at Eastern Kentucky University in the Departme nt of Homeland Security. Dr. Rose also serves as a Senior Fellow with the A ssociation of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) and a Board Me mber with the Association for the Assessment of Learning in Higher Educatio n (AALHE).
