Description: Come join AALHE colleagues in conversation with the Access and Success in Assessment Committee about what role assessment professionals and committed educators can play in fostering academic student success all the way from orientation to post-graduation. We will be tackling topics like orientation advising, gateway courses that experience high Ds, Fs and W rates, data and student success opportunities in the program review process, and finally- post-graduation outcomes assessment and how to move beyond employment/employability indicators alone. The conversation will be energetic, messy, and exciting, and seeks to catalyze attendees to engage in creative action to advance student success at their own institutions and contexts in line with the roles they play on campus.
